CoriE. Flanders-Palmer joined the law firm of Chicoine &
Hallett, P.S. in 2004. Ms. Flanders-Palmer graduated from
the University of Washington with a B.A. in economics. She received
her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. She
also received her Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of
San Diego School of Law, from which she graduated magna cum laude.
Ms.Flanders-Palmer has focused her practice in the areas of federal and
state tax controversy as well as white-collar criminal defense. Ms.
Flanders-Palmer has experience representing individuals and
corporations before the Internal Revenue Service, the Washington
State Department of Revenue, and in the federal court system,
including U.S. Tax Court. Handling a range of taxation issues from
voluntary disclosures and penalty abatements with the IRS to
professional malpractice claims against tax-shelter promoters, Cori
Flanders-Palmer provides effective and efficient legal services for
her clients.
Ms.Flanders-Palmer is admitted to practice before the courts of
Washington State, the United States Tax Court, the United States
District Court for the Western District of Washington and District of
Colorado, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth
Circuits, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.
Ms.Flanders-Palmer serves on the Scholarship Committee of the Washington
State Bar Association Taxation Section and lectures at the annual CLE
Bootcamp on federal tax updates. In 2007 and 2009 Washington Law
& Politics magazine voted her a “Washington Rising Star
Lawyer.” She is also an adjunct professor of Tax Crimes for the
University of Washington School of Law, Tax Graduate Program.
